Welcome to DPACT!

Ten years ago, some students at ASD wanted to have a bible study to learn more about God’s word. So a Bible study was formed and they began meeting off campus. At the first meeting the question was asked, “How many of you know the sign Jesus?”. Only two out of the fourteen high school students knew the sign Jesus and who He was. That was the beginning of an eight year long ministry. It’s goal being to reach out to show students who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for then and to deepen their knowledge of the bible.
For several years we have met in different buildings and homes. The first meeting was at the home of Charlotte Carlson. Then we moved out to United Methodist Church for 3 years. Due to the growth in attendance, we then moved to Fellowship Student Ministry Building at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock. They warmly welcomed us. Our attendance grew to about thirty-five. This building has allowed us to have more time and more room to play games, climb the “Rock Wall”, have a café to eat and drink at during our break and then go to our own class room to sign songs and enjoy the word of Christ. The Lord opened the door for us to move to Mosaic which is closer and bigger for our ministry. God has picked a handful of leaders for this ministry, Jeremy & Whitney Simons, Harry & Jackie Pompeo, Lauri Williams, Joseph Erwin and Rita Baker. We also have volunteers to help teach, to bring snacks, and provide transportation. The Good Lord has blessed this ministry. Please continue to pray for this ministry and for our students. That students will know about the man with the sign name “Jesus” and what He did for us.
